Disney Cruise Line is number one in the cruise industry for high standards, level of personalized service, entertainment and boasts having the best Youth Clubs at sea with the longest running hours. The Youth Clubs are age appropriate and occupy almost an entire deck. I'm going to focus on the Youth Club for teens aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, called Vibe. The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder also have a Youth Club called Vibe, but it differs greatly in theme.
The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are the third and fourth ships in the fleet, they are the newest and are much larger than the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, with many more activities. Having sailed all four ships in the fleet, I can personally attest to the fact that although the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are larger, you are not impacted by that at all, and even though each ship is unique in design, they are all familiar and you can easily navigate your way around and feel at ease doing so.
Vibe is located at the bow of the ship and offers indoor and outdoor lounges. This is open for teens aged 14-17, allowing them to participate in fun games, events and activities or simply hang around, as teens often like to do. The theme draws teens because it is reminiscent of a cool, urban coffee shop with couches, hip, movable seating, gathering spots and the like. Teens will enjoy a coffee bar, a DJ area which also has a dance area decorated by a multi-screen video wall. There is also a media room where teens can watch movies and play videos all in the glory of volume, and digital surround sound bliss.
The main gathering area is large, with a 103 inch LCD screen, comfortable seating, allowing all to enjoy movies. There is a separate stage area where teens can partake in fun and friendly karaoke, talent shows and even dance competitions. The video wall at night transforms the place into a disco, allowing aspiring DJ's fun and creativity.
Teens who crave their own space can hang out in the single pods along the walls while listening to music or watching a movie on the personal video screen. My son, who is autistic loved to hang out in these pods watching movies and listening to music.
Various activities happen throughout the day which are clearly posted both in Vibe and on the Personal Navigator, or on the Disney Cruise Line Personal Navigator App, easily downloaded on your mobile phone.
Perhaps the best feature in my opinion is The Sundeck, which is an extension of the indoor Vibe allowing easy access. The Sundeck boasts splash pools, misters, pop jets, and funky lounge chairs for sunbathing, making teens feel like they truly have their own cool space. Indoors, teens can play foosball or ping-pong.
