Why You Should Re-Book While on Your Cruise

Sailing with Disney Cruise Line? You're in for the cruise of your life! Bring your entire family and you'll make  memories that last forever. Disney caters to people of all ages and all walks of life.

I guarantee you that once you sail with Disney Cruise Line, you'll be back!

Even at the end of each cruise, I've never in my life seen so many sad faces and I'm not just talking about children. That sign they post that says, "See you real soon" gets me and a lot of others right to the core and the lump in my throat becomes huge and I don't even care who sees me blubbering, because I don't want to get off the ship....period!

Oh, the sadness......

Here's what I discovered that makes disembarkation a little easier.

I re-book. As soon as I board, my first call is to Guest Services to inquire about the Future Cruise Booking Desk hours. I am the first one there when it does, with my latte from Cove Cafe and I'm ready to book.

As you can see above, I'm waiting and it's S T I L L not open yet...well, we haven't even left Port Canaveral yet...

So we wait, a second latte for me and cookies for Andrew, courtesy of Cove CafƩ (don't forget your CafƩ Fanatic card)..

You see, booking while you're on your current cruise is not only easy but it makes sense. Here's why.

When you book a future cruise during your cruise, you get to.....are you ready for this?

-you get to select your own stateroom,
-look at a comprehensive list of all itineraries (take your time),
-Disney gives you a shipboard credit that is amazing,
-they even discount your future cruise ten percent (categories 4-11).

You are able to book one cruise for a future date to receive all of this or you can book up to two future cruises minus the ten percent discount, but everything else still applies. Back to back cruises are still eligible for the ten percent discount.

If, after you get home, your future date changes, then simply give Disney Cruise Line a call and they'll help you book another date, including all your perks!

Don't forget that you are now a Castaway Club Member, which has perks all on its own! More about that soon in another post!

                 Now that's great customer service!

Thank you Disney Cruise Line for the photograph.

Dumbo and Timothy Mouse

"The characters Dumbo and Timothy Mouse on the Disney Fantasy’s stern weigh in at more than 2,300 pounds. Dumbo is a little over eight feet long from head to tail with an “ear span” of seven feet. Timothy Mouse sits 2’6″ tall on Dumbo’s hat and is holding a paint brush that’s about 3’10″ long. Dumbo was sculpted from large foam blocks by Walt Disney Imagineering artists in Glendale, California. The sculpted pieces were then shipped to Florida where Disney craftsmen and artists created him in fiberglass and paint over a frame of marine-grade stainless steel. The duo was installed in Papenburg, Germany." (Source: DCLNews.com)
