The Autistic World of Disney

Christmas is my favorite time of the year to begin with, let alone celebrating it in Walt Disney World . That is exactly what we did in December of 2010, twelve days of bliss in a beautiful one bedroom villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort (that's a whole other post). The absolute highlight of our trip was to bask in the festivities such as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, The Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights and the Candlelight Processional  as well as visiting as many resorts as possible to enjoy their Christmas decorations. It was our second visit during the Christmas Season but this was the first Christmas actually spent at Walt Disney World, and I was itching to get over to the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and spend the afternoon and evening here. The popularity of The Midship Detective Agency on the Disney Dream brought forth a third new such game aboard the Disney Fantasy involving the Muppets called,  The Case of the Stolen Show.  photo: DisneyCruiseLine The familiarity of how to play the game is identical to the two games on the Disney Dream using the Enchanted Art LCD screens. You proceed to deck five, mid-ship to the Midship Detective Agency kiosk, register, receive your game card (that's what you hold up to the LCD screen to play the game with), map and instructions in order to participate. The game itself takes approximately ninety minutes but you can break and return at a later time on the same cruise to complete the game. The Midship Detective Agency is a wonderful interactive game you can play alone or with your family aboard the Disney Dream , using the wonderful LCD screens of Enchanted Art. photo: DisneyCruiseLine  All the clues are found on the various Enchanted Art screens which are throughout the Disney Dream. To begin, go to deck five, midship to the self-serve kiosk and pick up your game cards and map. I've been with my husband now for thirty-one years, known him since high school, he is adorable, a perfectionist which gets on my nerves, will drop whatever he's doing to help you, no matter what, he's a terrific father, works a lot of overtime to afford us Disney vacations bi-annually because of my son's developmental jumps while there....and if God takes him before me, I really don't know what I would do. I think I would be completely lost, how would I explain this to my son who constantly asks for his Dad when he's at work. I think the only thing I could do would be to move to Walt Disney World with my son and the two of us get jobs side by side, sweeping or just anything as long as I can keep an eye on him. If you think that sailing on Disney Cruise Line , will be a ship full of kids, you're partially correct, but Disney boasts so many activities for children and teens, making the majority of spaces aboard serene and quiet. Seriously, not to mention all of the areas exclusive to adults. I always chuckle on the second or third last day of the cruise when all the kids come out of the children's clubs and they're as white as ghosts, mainly because their parents cannot get them OUT of the clubs, that's how much fun they have! Security is Disney's first item on the list. You can be certain that your children will be fully and closely supervised. Disney does not take security for children lightly.
