Royal Court Royal Tea on the Disney Fantasy

While sailing on our eighth cruise on the Disney Fantasy, this past August 2013, I had the opportunity to join my friend and her daughter at the Royal Court Royal Tea in the grand dining room of the Royal Court restaurant. A lovely and quaint table setting in a restaurant elegantly themed to represent castles and princesses awaited us in the center of the dining room.

As we approached the Royal Court from the atrium lobby, a page asked for each little princess guests name. Upon entry, the child's name was formally announced followed by a greet and picture moment with Lady Chamomile.

We were then escorted to our elegantly appointed table set for high tea. The guest princess at each table had a lavish setting adorned with many special gifts. Each child received a deluxe, quilted autograph book and pen, a musical jewellery box containing a charm necklace and charm bracelet, a large princess doll of their favorite princess, and a castle sugar cookie with their name on it.

Chamomile tea was poured of course, while the sandwiches and sweets offered were delicious! Princess Chamomile came around and greeted each table followed by the charming Chef Brule. Warm greetings were given to each child. Chef Brule and Lady Chamomile introduced each Disney princess to the dining room in succession.

Each princess came around to meet and greet each child as well as sign their autograph books. They spent a good amount of time chatting before signing and then posing for a photograph. Upon each princess visit, each child received a respective charm for their charm bracelet.

After the pouring of chamomile tea, and the nibbling of yummy goodies the children were led to the center of the dining room by Lady Chamomile and Chef Brule, and while joined by the other princesses, the children were led in a delightful circle dance.

At the end of the festivities, children were presented with a pretty, lemon cupcake which sat in a teacup filled with Mickey Mouse sprinkles for decorating.

I truly hope that this delightful experience continues on the Disney Fantasy because from what I saw and experienced, all children and adults  were thoroughly enchanted. Currently, this can only be booked the day of sailing, once you board the Disney Fantasy at Guest Services at the Atrium Lobby on a first come first served basis. I am certain that if it stays, it too, will be available in the Planning Center of the Disney Cruise Line website. The cost for one child and one adult is $279.00. Each additional child is $210.00 and each additional adult is $69.00

  1. I wish your cruise had been before mine! I didn't hear about this.

  2. I love that they do this on the cruise as well Jackie! I never did get to take my daughter to the Princess Tea at the Grand Floridian, but always wanted to. I just imagine doing it on the High Seas would be even more thrilling!

Beverage Stations Aboard the Disney Cruise Line Ships

One of the many aspects of sailing with Disney Cruise Line that you do not have to worry about, is your beverages. You don't need to buy a soda or water package or wear a wrist band. Most beverages aboard Disney Cruise Line are complimentary.

Disney Cruise Line has twenty-four hour Beverage Stations near the pools and you can have as much as you wish. The Beverage Stations come equipped with soda/water cups and hot beverage, insulated cups, lids and straws. At these stations you'll find an abundance of soda, coffee, fountain water, ice, hot water. For the hot water, they provide a variety of tea and cocoa mixes.

Walt Disney Studios Tour, Burbank, California.

Never in a million years did I ever imagine walking the backlot streets of the Walt Disney Studio in Burbank. Yet, there we were over Christmas vacation in December 2011. It was all real, I couldn't stop pinching myself, I was awestruck! I could not believe my eyes or the ground that I walked upon. Just the mere thought of being where Walt Disney was, was enough for me. Looking at the items he touched or dealt with was mind blowing. I was even able to hold.....are you ready for this? Yes, hold a REAL Oscar. Not only a real Oscar, but Walt Disney's Oscar for his Nature Documentary. My whole body tingled, I was shaking with excitement and boy, oh boy did I make sure my hands were clean. I don't know how many times I asked if I should wear gloves. The ever so friendly Cast Member, an Archivist, smiled and said it was okay, bare hands were fine. I was completely BLOWN away! The whole experience began with us pulling up to the security guard booth at Walt Disney Studios in Burban…
