The Staterooms on Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line is at the top of Conde Nast's list of the best Cruise Line and it's no Wonder! Or, Dream! Or, Fantasy! Or, Magic! The simple truth, is that Disney Cruise Line is unparalleled, period.

We've sailed on eight Disney cruises with the ninth booked for next July 2014 on the re-imagined Disney Magic for a Mediterranean cruise. We are proud Gold Castaway Club members and I'll tell you, I won't even look at another cruise line, they won't work for my family, it's only Disney for us!

With a variety of staterooms to please every budget, Disney Cruise Line is the first in the industry to offer the split bath, staterooms which are twenty-five percent larger, and most have verandahs and oceanviews. If an inside stateroom is for you, and you are worried about not having windows, wait until you see what Disney Imagineers have done about that. In every inside stateroom aboard the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, you'll find a large porthole screen which actually plays a live action feed from all around the ship. That's right, you get to see what's happening as you sail, with the odd character popping up, for good fun! These special windows are called, the Magical Portholes.

The inside stateroom, with the porthole screen, playing a live feed from the bow. On the Disney Fantasy, the live feed is from your cabins location on the ship as they have live-feed cameras all around the ship.

The oceanview staterooms have comparable interior square footage to the verandah staterooms. The oceanview staterooms boast large porthole type windows.

The verandah staterooms offer the same luxuries as the oceanview, with the added verandah which contains two armchairs and small table. Some enclosed verandah's offer bench style seating, and a bit of an obstructed view, depending on the ship.

Disney Cruise Line takes excellent care of guests requiring accessible staterooms.

The verandah stateroom in concierge has few more appointments as well as the benefits of the concierge level.

A great tip offered to me by a friend, was that the verandah's on the aft of the ship are larger. Maybe that's enough for me to consider an aft verandah stateroom. As you can see, these staterooms offer beautiful appointments, luxury and convenience regardless of category, allowing all people with varying budgets to enjoy the Disney Cruise Line experience.

  1. Disney Cruise Line is the only way to sail!!! The rooms are beautiful, and the service is tremendous! An adult pool, a family pool, and a kids pool! So many shows you won't know what to do first. Free cokes, free ice cream, and pizza any time you want. I'm hooked on DCL!!!

Beverage Stations Aboard the Disney Cruise Line Ships

One of the many aspects of sailing with Disney Cruise Line that you do not have to worry about, is your beverages. You don't need to buy a soda or water package or wear a wrist band. Most beverages aboard Disney Cruise Line are complimentary.

Disney Cruise Line has twenty-four hour Beverage Stations near the pools and you can have as much as you wish. The Beverage Stations come equipped with soda/water cups and hot beverage, insulated cups, lids and straws. At these stations you'll find an abundance of soda, coffee, fountain water, ice, hot water. For the hot water, they provide a variety of tea and cocoa mixes.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and The Pirate's League on the Disney Fantasy

Disney Cruise Line will not leave anything out of your vacation. You'll never miss out on the magic and pixie dusting when sailing on the Disney Fantasy because your little girl can be transformed into a princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and your little boy can become a pirate at The Pirate's League, for which I will outline in the latter half of this post. In fact, everyone can become a pirate over at The Pirate's League. Walt Disney Studios Tour, Burbank, California.

Never in a million years did I ever imagine walking the backlot streets of the Walt Disney Studio in Burbank. Yet, there we were over Christmas vacation in December 2011. It was all real, I couldn't stop pinching myself, I was awestruck! I could not believe my eyes or the ground that I walked upon. Just the mere thought of being where Walt Disney was, was enough for me. Looking at the items he touched or dealt with was mind blowing. I was even able to hold.....are you ready for this? Yes, hold a REAL Oscar. Not only a real Oscar, but Walt Disney's Oscar for his Nature Documentary. My whole body tingled, I was shaking with excitement and boy, oh boy did I make sure my hands were clean. I don't know how many times I asked if I should wear gloves. The ever so friendly Cast Member, an Archivist, smiled and said it was okay, bare hands were fine. I was completely BLOWN away! The whole experience began with us pulling up to the security guard booth at Walt Disney Studios in Burban…
